Sean T. Courtney, Jr. was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. An early 90’s baby that flung himself into the world, hoping to be embraced and given the opportunities to grow. When he’s not teaching his students about poetry or United States history, you can find him with his skateboard traversing through his hometown.

Joined Teach For America and moved to Lawton, Oklahoma in order to teach at Lawton High School for a few years. Some memories are bittersweet.
